The Brooklyn Queens Long Island Area Health Education Center (BQLI-AHEC) is a state and federally-funded workforce development nonprofit. Our mission is to develop a skilled healthcare workforce with the tools to effectively treat underserved communities. Our strategies include:
Since its inception in 2003, BQLI-AHEC has worked with over 5,000 middle, high school, and college students to expose and guide them toward rewarding careers in medicine.
In achieving our mission, we have developed the Hazel Sanderson, EdD., R.N. Health Career Scholarship, which supports one deserving student who has completed at least one BQLI-AHEC program in the past five years and is pursuing a career in the healthcare profession.
Would you consider donating to help us provide a student with the support to realize a career in a healthcare profession and make a positive impact in the lives of others?
If you have any questions, we would be happy to provide you with more information about how you can help support our work at BQLI-AHEC.
Please join us and donate below! With your donation, we’re one step closer to supporting a talented student and furthering the medical treatment of underserved communities. All donations are tax-deductible.
Sincerely,
BQLI-AHEC
